Charlie Parker came to G.R.I.N.D. Remodeling in need of a serious bathroom upgrade. A disabled veteran, Charlie was finding it difficult to use the existing shower in his home. When he saw an advertisement for G.R.I.N.D. Remodeling in the local paper, he decided to call and get a quote. After discussing options and making product selections, our team got to work on the Parker home and the rest is history. Charlie is now enjoying his new bathroom, and now we get to share his project with you!
The Project Details
The Parkers’ existing shower was too small and was not accessible, or ADA friendly. G.R.I.N.D. Remodeling designer John sat down with the Parkers and showed them available options for their new shower space, as well as some add-ons that would help accommodate differing levels of accessibility. “One of the reasons we wanted to get a shower like this is I am in a wheelchair,” Charlie explained. “I can stand for short periods of time, but I have very limited balance.” The safety grab bars as well as the low threshold shower pan were options that were sure to make Charlie’s shower experience more enjoyable and functional.
The result: a modern, easily accessible shower the Parkers can enjoy, and it was completed in one day!
The Process
Mr. Parker says, “I like to add also that G.R.I.N.D. Remodeling did a wonderful job for me. It meets all my needs now. I would very highly recommend G.R.I.N.D. Remodeling Cabinets & a shower install if you are thinking of having your bathroom redone. They did an amazing job, and I don’t recommend things easily!”
